Using CORRECTED.AI to Improve Students’ Writing

AI often enters education surrounded by big promises and just as big concerns. In this testimonial, Joana Nuñez shares a grounded, practice-based perspective on how AI can support language teaching without taking control away from the teacher. Her experience shows AI not as a shortcut, but as a tool that helps structure work, save time, and open space for more meaningful interaction with learners.

Rather than focusing on technical features, Joana talks about decision-making, experimentation, and learning through practice. Her story highlights an important shift: AI becomes useful when it is embedded in real pedagogical needs, not when it is treated as an abstract innovation.

  1. Thanks for sharing this interesting tool. I have just tried it out myself and find the feedback really helpful.
I have one question. Are the students signing up to corrected.ai with their school e-mails and using the 10 free essays, or do you have a teacher account or a paid school account? As long as the kids use their own accounts, I am a bit worried about data safety – especially for younger students. How do you solve this issue?

    1. Thank you for your comment. I am also concerned about privacy and data security. Although all platforms offered in Europe must comply with the GDPR, with the emergence of hundreds of new AI-based applications, it is becoming increasingly difficult to trust them all.

  2. Dear Elisabeth,

I have used this tool in its free version with my baccalaureate students, using their school email accounts. As you rightly say, we can only use it a limited number of times, and we do not have a school account. I have made a proposal to the management team of my school, but I have not yet received a response. However, you can contact the people at Corrected.ai directly.
